CHADD of Greater Sacramento’s next monthly support group meeting will be Tuesday, June 2, 2015, from 7-9 p.m. The June meeting will feature a lively presentation by CHADD Greater Sacramento coordinator T. J. Vidales on organizational skills and getting “unstuck.” (7-8:30). The speaker presentation will be followed by networking time (8:30-9).
T. J. will lead a presentation, discussion, and Q&A focusing on how to hone your organizational skills. Whether at work, home, or school, ADHD can make getting and staying organized a challenge. It can be especially daunting when you are first starting out on an organizing task or project—so much so, that people often find they get overwhelmed and “stuck.” T. J. will help guide participants towards awareness of what tools, tips, and techniques they can use to get “unstuck” and put their environment into greater order. This will be an interactive presentation! We will encourage participants to share about their areas of organizational challenge, as well as what helps—and what hinders—getting organized.
T. J. Vidales was born in Japan, and her unique approach to life stems from being raised and educated in both Japan and the United States (New York and California). T. J. is a proud mother to 2 teenagers (14 & 17) and 2 grown daughters, as well as an experienced educator with over 12 years of experience teaching K-12. In addition to being an innovative educator who strives to do more than just “teach,” T. J. is a passionate advocate for the underdogs who tend to not have a voice. She is the current CHADD of Greater Sacramento Branch Coordinator, as well as a volunteer for PEN Sacramento.
Meetings are free and open to the public. A $5 donation is requested if you are not a CHADD member, but no one is ever turned away for lack of funds.
